Images of a Big Island

It’s all about Me!

My name is Tim Wootton and for the last 15yrs I have lived and worked in a special part of the world called The Whitsundays.

I have been lucky enough to have been employed in the Marine Tourism Industry as a charter yacht skipper and in fact some of you may have been on yachts that I have skippered such as “Broomstick”,  “Condor”, “Matador” and “Anaconda III ” just to name a few.

Seeing some of the special sights around this area inspired me to pick up a camera again and try to capture images of places  that hopefully are a bit different from the usual postcard/brochure shots.

I also visit the Kimberley Coast and Tasmania on a regular basis with my camera gear ready to capture some of the spectacular light & scenery in these amazing areas.

For those who wish to know I use  Canon DSLR and lenses.

So, stay tuned if you are interested, feel free to comment and I hope you like what you see!

                                                    Cheers,

                                                      Tim

  4. Hello, Tim, I’m very much enjoying my first visit to your site, following your link back from your comment on my lichen post from the Weaning Paddock area. What a treat to hear from someone else who has been there and remembers it so fondly. You mentioned that it has an interesting history…I’d love to hear some of it, if your time and inclination permit. I’ll drop you an e-mail and send you mine. I really must post more of my favorite Tassie images, too. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your good opinion! -Gary

    Tim,
Nice photo’s pf Dad. Can you email me a copy so that I can put them up in the house at Cradle please. Mort’s only a “new commer” to the place….always said at the Lodge on the couuple of occasions he called in, and I quote ” Your all bloody mad and you;ll go broke! Mark my words”

    • G’day Kevin,
Yep, I can just imagine Mort saying that too! But they are both great old fellas as was Ossie!
I was going to print some copies up for the boys but if You can give me your email address I can do that. Say G’day to them for me!

    Hi Tim
Love the photos. Bring back fond memories from when I backpacked round Tas in the summer of 87. One of my favourite places then was Maria Island. Love to see some more photos from there if you have any. Keep up the good work.
