Dinghy Wharf
When this image first appeared on my computer screen I was a little disappointed in it, slight movement of the pontoon during a 3s exposure had very slightly ruined it. But, that’s what you get for doing a long exposure on a platform that floats!
I decided to see what I could do with it anyway because the composition looked good and that dinghy in the foreground looked interesting.
Not the best image I have ever shot but I have to admit it’s growing on me! What do you think?
Love it…. blue of foreground dingy contrasts beautifully with overall warm colours. Also as a watercolourist I actually don’t like everything “photographer” crisp.

Hmmm – interesting one ….. I like the composition and the subtle pink/purple/not sure what colour (!) tones with the contrast of the little blue dinghy. But the blurry dinghy? Not sure, particularly as it is the main focus of attention. It sort of makes my eyes/brain go a bit funny – well, funnier than usual 🙂

There was also some movements of the dinghies during the exposure which is always on the cards when you are photographing around water.
Thanks for your comment Noeline!

Not too bad at all there Tim!
It would have been nice to only have the little blue tender all by itself though! 🙂

Would have been nice if they were all photogenic timber rowing dinghies!
